Been Farming Long? Tee

You know the type - vintage farm hat that stands straight up from his wrinkly forehead, a faded pearl snap he wears with a hunch in his back from the decades of hard manual labor, and the way his feet scoot across the floor to talk to you...

I think of my great grandpa, George Kelso, who drove out to the farm in his little white car until he was 99 years old. He lived to be 103, but at some point he stopped being able to see the road. I'm pretty sure that didn't stop him though, because word around town was his old red truck was spotted from time to time on the road. Of course he denied such accusations...

His most famous line during the summer months was, "Corn and beans gonna grow tonight!"
